Automatic Payment Plan

Now you can have your payment made automatically from your checking or savings account. You won’t have to change your present banking relationship to take advantage of this service.

The Automatic Payment Plan will help you in several ways:

  • It saves time -- fewer checks to write.
  • Helps meet your commitment in a convenient and timely manner, even if you’re on vacation or out of town.
  • Your payment is always on time -- payment will be pulled from your account around the 15th day of each month.

Here’s how the Automatic Payment Plan works:

You authorize regularly scheduled payments to be made from your checking or savings account. Your payments will be made automatically on or around the 15th day of each month.

You will still receive your monthly billing statement around the 1st of each month. You will still need to submit a monthly meter reading. You can mail it to our office, or better yet, save a stamp and call our office at 852-1886, or use our new web site: www.nprwd.com and use our convenient meter form to submit your monthly meter reading by the 15th day of each month.

  • How long after I sign up before the Automatic Payment goes into effect? It will usually go into effect AFTER the next water billing you receive from North Prairie.
  • What if I have a dispute on by bill? If you have a dispute on your billing, you can authorize your bank to stop payment on your Automatic Payment for that month. However, if you do have a dispute on your billing, please contact North Prairie’s office first to attempt to resolve the dispute and/or correct the billing prior to the file being sent to the bank to make the withdrawal.
  • What will I have for a receipt? Although you won’t have a cancelled check for your receipt, the deduction for your monthly North Prairie Rural Water bill will be shown on your checking or savings account bank statement each month. Also proof of payment will also appear on your next regular water bill.

The authority you give to charge your account will remain in effect until you notify us in writing to terminate the authorization.

The Automatic Payment Plan is dependable, flexible, convenient and easy. To take advantage of this service, just print and complete the authorization form below and return it to our office with a “VOIDED” check. (The voided check helps to ensure we get the correct bank routing # and checking and/or savings acct.#)

AUTHORIZATION FOR AUTOMATIC PAYMENT

I authorize NORTH PRAIRIE RURAL WATER DISTRICT and the financial institution named below to initiate entries to my checking/savings account. This authority will remain in effect until I notify you in writing to cancel it in such time as to afford the financial institution a reasonable opportunity to act on it.
